Having enough reference  Points to create an accurate  representation is vital,  the

artist can now easily  visit the  location to

examine things like window frames,  plastered walls that he might wish to remove,  enquire what year the  garage was built . . Whether it was there in 1892,  examine original brickwork - draw sketches of the

period  door that was  removed,  or  window frames.  Always able to  return  to  the

tennis  racquet for  conformation  of  the

accuracy  scale and proportion.

                               To create  a  painting .

                                      'as it  would

                                     have  looked in 1864'

                                         F1  CITROEN LIGHT 16

Citroen  has always held the reputation of being innovative, this is one

manufacturer that always believed in doing it's own thing.  Around  760,000

Of this model  were built from its introduction in 1934.

The light 15, also known as the Traction  Avant  (meaning front drive)  was

innovative and  although not the first  to venture into front wheel drive. The

Light 15 was surely the first  successfully mass Produced front wheel drive car.

Road holding was excellent,  the steering was as bit  heavy, an several variations were available during its life, including The Big 15 that had an extra seven inches in length Included.

This classic  Citroen   is a marking point in the evolution of modern motoring,

Highly collectable and a very driveable piece of  motoring  from its era.
