OH DEAR now we have a contradiction, and without the use of perspective drawing, the eye is in two minds, and wants to accept that the third block is still in the row But the horizontal bars lack perspective also. The eye has been ' set up ' Simply drawing the third block in front is enough to complete the confusion. Let us call this one 'Fence' |

PERSPECTIVE - PERCEPTION Perspective, describes the way objects appear to the Eye (or camera lens for that matter ) It is based on the objects spatial attributes, dimensions and position of the view in relation to the object Perspective explains why objects appear to get smaller as they get further away. This is a very useful phenomenon, and I expect in ancient times a hunter new without any explanation that the tiny animal in the far distance was really a Mammoth that could feed his whole community for a week. Artists manipulate this visual expression of perspective As one of their 'tools' Visual perception has an instinct of what is right, sometimes getting it wrong can be akin to Humor. |
